MY BEST FRIEND

You are here with me at the beginning of the day and in my dreams at night
You exist somewhere in the depths of my heart for with you it's real love that I share
I get through the day with just thoughts of you
Wherever I am, I feel your presence near
Without the memories that I hold dearly of you
My world would be full of bitterness and despair.

I was taught as a child to be careful
Of the things I am told and choose to believe
So making you my best friend was a choice I made wisely
